Trying to find French olive that actually comes from Provence France, rather than coming from Morocco or Tunisia and bottled as French, is no daunting task. We traveled to the world renown olive oil symposium at Flos Olei specifically to meet with French producers and cultivate a relationship. The small area in southern France that borders the Mediterranean sea is the only land that produces olives. Demand is so high that France only exports 2% of what they produce.
This particular olive oil is unique to the Moulin CastelaS line. It is a single varietal pressed from the native Aglandau olive. It is an elegant green fruity oil with a cut grass note followed by mint and artichoke. The pepper finish from the healthy polyphenols strikes a perfect balance on the palate. 500 ml (16.9 oz)
